    At 2:00 the video is wrong. The output of the circuit is tied to ground. So there will not be a signal to measure at 2:14. What happens is this: When capacity increases (more moisture), the voltage swing across the capacitor will decrease. Vice versa, when capacity decreases (less moisture), the swing will increase.

    Great video Bas :) i bumped into your channel and I immediately got hooked on the quality of your explanation! I did follow the tutorial with ease. Unfortunately my rotary encoder is still giving me false values (even when I try to move it slowly). I am thinking to apply some filter on the raw values (avg of 3) perhaps? Any pro advice on how manufacturers usually solve problems like that?

    Remember, this sensor cant measure noise level (dB). The amplitude on diagrams dont show noise level, it only shows how long sound sensor was triggered on. When it is quieter, the sensor does not detect the quieter sound as a lower noise level, but activates fewer times in a set period of time.

      Hi, good question! It learns you to sample data over a fixed periods of time. This way you can get more data from a sensor than that you would expect on first hand. This is a quite "dumb" sensor: it tells you if there is sound or not, that's it. With sampling data we can measure the amount of sound over a period of time and plot this in a chart 😃

    can we use the same pin if we have multiple led traffic light?

    • @BasonTech
      @BasonTech 9 месяцев назад

      Not without additional components. If you use multiple on the same pin both traffic lights would show the same lights turned on. Besides the brightness would become significant less.
